Violence towards opponents of the ruling Zanu PF government increases every day. Hundreds were beaten while "an estimated 31 people were killed...and tens of thousands intimidated and forced from their homes." Many now seek sanctuary in the MDC's headquarters in Harare; but for the staunchest opponents of the regime there is no safe haven. With their few possessions they flee to neighbouring countries and wait for the violence to end. less
